Hut Garden Offices | Construction

We use high quality materials to create a strong and hard wearing building for year-round use. All Huts are manufactured in portable sections ready to be assembled on site. All external timber is pressure-treated and can be easily stained ,treated or painted if desired.

Walls The garden studio walls are constructed in panel form using 75mm x 50mm timber framework. The exterior is fitted with high quality pressure-treated feather-edged timber cladding with external ply under to prevent weather penetration. Beneath the ply is a layer of insulation which also acts as an internal breather membrane.

Internal Finish The internal walls are lined with 8mm solid pine tongue and groove cladding. The floor is fully insulated and finished with 18mm plywood boarding. Pine skirting is fitted all round. The solid 8mm internal pine cladding is left natural but can be stained, painted or varnished. The ceiling is finished with a smooth latvian birch plywood.The surrounds of the windows and doors are finished with a pine beading.

Roof The Roof is fully insulated, under felted and clad with Italian Tegola asphalt tiles that are lightweight and very strong.

Windows and Door We incorporate housing quality double-glazed windows and doors.The window units are supplied with key operated locks. The door is half-glazed and supplied with a brass 5 lever security lock. When fitted as an option the Velux roof window is sized 978mmx 780mm.

Base All Huts sit on 75mm x 75mm pressure-treated timber bearers. To the front is a 1000mm deep timber deck. The bearers sit on a solid level concrete base 125mm deep.For base dimensions of the big hut go here. For base dimensions of the small hut go here.
